You can continue grinding normal XP when you hit the 70 cap.

If you're asking if you'll get any sort of retroactive bonus for past levels/quests/etc, the answer is no.

15 minute recast sucks to extreme heights for a dumbfire spell tho.

The AA looks really great from here, thanks for posting these guys

I'll get a screenshot of the exp bar later but I'll just say now that you don't get AA exp for normal mob slaughtering..
  4. ARCHIVED-jeanjuedi Guest

Didn't see the answer in any of the other posts. What are the M2 options at lvl 64?
  5. ARCHIVED-Xalmat Guest

You will at level 70. Good chance it's currently broken on Beta.
  6. ARCHIVED-Named88 Guest

    Ah okay ^^

One of the M2 choices is Abate Life ( siphon upgrade).

New dumbfires, nice idea but everyone knows dumbfires are broke with AEs hitting them. Best case I see on this would be to AE a bunch of deer in EL and raise them to fight the lone ^ of the bunch. And then what? They disappear! Not a raid-caliber spell, thats for sure.

I would agree that it is definitely not on par with the summoner lvl 65 spell. I hate to say it, but ours looks like mostly fluff. While visually appealing and for its "oooh" factor, I would rather have the extra 8k hp and immune buff.

I know that the AA trees and spells have been changing a bit for many of the other classes. Have we been seeing similar changes? And does anyone have screenshots yet for lvl 61-70 spells?
  10. ARCHIVED-Named88 Guest

Updated screen shots of our AAs.

    Strength line:
The animated dagger put out about 950 damage versus a grey mob 12 lvls below me. It is an even con vvv dumbfire pet.
Implode currently does not sacrifice the pet. It works otherwise.

    Agility Line
    Cabalist's Chains seems broken.
Shadow step really has a recast of 20seconds.

    Stamina Line:
Shockwave really has 60 second recast.

    Wisdom Line:
Staff requirements are broken. Or Staff of the Godking isn't considered a staff...
I don't think that Minion's Uproar or Minion's Barrier work.

    Intelligence Line:
    Everything seems to work... odd.

I like what I see. Any chance you can convince them to change dagger parry to something else and/or swap it's spot with wild channeling? I really don't get hit enough to feel good aout putting any points into a Parry skill.
  12. ARCHIVED-Named88 Guest

I have no say in what happens. I don't even personally know a dev. :/
  13. ARCHIVED-Deson Guest

Heh, oh I know that. Just I remember with LU13/DoF there were some things we complained about and offered suggestions and they listened. I should have added-"or did the devs say it's set in stone"-that's all. Thanks
  14. ARCHIVED-Deson Guest

On those stance increases, do they increase the proc on the offensive and damage sheild on the defensive or is it just the stats?
  15. ARCHIVED-trenor Guest

OMH your aa tree is awesome. Just popped over to chec k it out grats on getting lucky. I checked ours out(60 illusionist) and I am just appaled by the crappiness of them. 3 procs off a melee LMFAO, oh and i saw a critical heal YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Rizaz...you rock. Thank you for taking the time to post the updated screenshots. They have changed the AA's so much. The descriptions are so much clearer, and the abilities much more defined and unique. The only problem now is figuring out which route to take. I was pretty unimpressed with the first set of AAs except for a few abilities, but now...soo many choices.
Question about AA's. I assume that there is an AAXP bar? And that when you ding you can pick up a new ability rank? Do you need to select a rank right then, or can you store up AAs. Or, say I don't like the path that I chose, what is the proccess to go back and choose a different path. And how finite is AAXP. Let's say I kill xx raid mob and get AAXP. Can I continue to kill said raid mob and get AAXP from it again, or is it a one time deal.
    Again Rizaz, you rock, lol.
  17. ARCHIVED-slyfer Guest

What the heck happened to Magic Leash??? Where is the root component. That AA was the one I was looking forward too.
  18. ARCHIVED-Named88 Guest

Yes, there is an AAXP Bar.

When you ding your first AA, you can buy our base AA ( possess minion ) which is at the top of the tree. From there every AA after that you can put where ever you want. The only rules are that you have to have 4 points in the previous AA before you can purchase the next one. You can only put 8 points into each AA. The final ability of each line costs a flat 8 points and you can't upgrade it.

    You can store AAs.

Currently if you don't like the path you picked, you can reset your AAs. You go to an NPC in the mage tower of either qeynos or freeport. There will be a guy titled "Achievement Specialist" or something like that. The first reset costs ~50g. Second ~1p. Third ~1.5p. And so on.

I'm not sure about actually gaining AA exp because I bugged my AAs to 50 on beta.

    P.S. Thanks :)

I don't know. I could not find any proof that these were working. The examine windows didn't change when I had these AAs up. I have a feeling that they may be broken or at the very least, only seen through parsing.

Yeah I noticed this as well...

Hey Riz.. Can you talk about what Possession does exactly? I see it as the root of our AA Tree, but what exactly is it?

Does it allow us to directly control our pet? Does it do absolutely nothing?
