Bug has been around forever. It's still a problem. In Vex Thal, Va Xi Aten Ha Ra flings herself and will randomly death touch the tank and reset.
It happens when she hits the ceiling. The ceiling is domed and higher in the middle of the room. Don't tank her near the edges where she can bump her head. Same is true for her fake sister.
We had it happen 3 times in a row on Agnarr last week. We clear VT weekly and are aware to tank her in the center. Still happens
I don't think it's just the tank, like any player hits the ceiling it happens, on Yelinak we didn't have any success until we made every single player stack in the middle. Still an annoying bug that should be fixed, but it can be mitigated.
I am aware this has happened for a long time, but ever since the last patch she is resetting an absurd amount after the gflux. How about a little hot fix?
P.S. Can we get the MULTIPLE bug reports that have been ignored for almost 3 years now combined into this one? Thanks.
not really game breaking just annoying, there are things you can do and places to position to prevent this. i'm sure you'll figure it out.
This has been happening with increasing frequency on Agnarr as well. We are well aware to keep her centered and whatnot. Last Friday it happened like 5 times in the same fight. Once when she was at 10% health... Basically she flings, Tank gets DT'd and she rests her health. Not sure the cause, but again this has been getting worse week by week it seems.
Indeed something appears to be different and some people are unable to kill this now. Hearing stories of guilds with 10 resets or more before giving up.
Can we just remove the fling or replace the fling with aoe silence (still fits thematically as it would have 1 of real AHR's 2 abilities)?
We've found tanking her under either of the 'Windows' on eitehr side of the room avoids this issue. When she bounces, she'll hit the frame of the window and won't reset. Have your monks keep her kicked into place. or pally stun for push back. Was exceptionally nice to kill her once, instead of the typical 6-15 times =)
Definitely needs a look. I remember her doing this very rarely on TLPs past but it is much, much, much worse now for some reason.
Yep something broke recently. We had 3 DTs and resets in the VT raid today and this never happened before. The work around is to push the mob against the wall (to the north?) under the window sill so that when she bounces she bounces off the sill and doesn't hit the roof. This MUST be fixedd; we had to call the raid early (well, late) because we essentially had to kill Aten 3 times.
We had Va Xi Aten Ha Ra reset 7 or 8 times on Wednesday, and it cost us the kill. We did everything we could - no pets, max shrink, tank 3 squares out from the stage, keep threat from ever leaving the tank... no dice. It got so late, we had to shelve it for a continuation for tonight, which is going to cost us an AHR kill prior to PoP launch. Please fix it.
The secret (to overcoming this &@)#*)@_!(*_!! stupid bug) is to push her against the wall that's under the high window. She will bounce up and hit the edge of the window and that will mitigate the chance to have her reset. We had to try that after she reset twice in the middle of the room
