It's crazy timing; just when I tried to get about 4 old friends to come back to play... I can't even speak to them or tell if they're online due to friends list being unavailable since (at least in my case don't want to speak for others) it seems to be tied to Universal Chat Service... One friend claimed "He'll keep on playing a mmo that has a chat service that works... that he hadn't stocked up on Excedrin" I'm used to this happening; normally I'd have no problem sticking it out. It's just the bad timing award for sure because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has told old friends about some of the newer content and zones to get them to come back to play. Sure... "it's only happening on Tunare / The Seventh Hammer", but that's where I told them all to roll a toon and look me up to group / hang out. Can't even use a friends list to check, I guess it's time to fire up Not a problem for issues to crop up from time to time, but... over a week to fix? Seems a bit excessive. Question is who's replacing the hamster and when? When you do replace it, please give the hamster 15/15 innate uninterrupted chat service and put some AAs in No Crash just in case. Thanks in advance as I know the SoE team is working hard to solve this issue...
We had about 12-15 old Lanys people come back a few weeks ago, this has killed it for all but 2-3 of them. I'm kind of wondering at this point why I'm bothering to play. Having to use a program outside the game to communicate because the game is too broken to let you talk to people inside it.

The hell of it is we all put up with it for a month or two not long ago. It was every server then, and there really was no obvious hurry for them to get around to fixing it. It was mentioned here on the forums a couple times and that's all that was really said about it. Although they weren't broken nearly as bad, they would stay up and working for more than a minute at a time during that period. I'm not sure why I really expected this to be much different, I'm just getting fed up with paying for a product and getting crappy service.
Hehe, I hear you. One of my many returns to EQ1 (and the return after the longest (3 year) break) was 2 days before the one week, entire Sony-wide downtime back in 2011! Hope they fix this soon Tat
Day 8 - I am hopeful we will have someone post a status on the ETA of the fix. please! As a public raid force - we use a common channel to communicate outside of raid times as a whole. This is really a negative to the social aspect of the game for most of us. I'm down to begging and making will make tons of promises - like we promise to keep Wanluan alive one night if we can get this fixed. (Now, I just got to get the healers to buy in on this promise - give me 2 years to bribe them).
Unless you are willing to share your cabana boy on a regular basis you can forget about us healing him. It is not like we do not want to, if ordered, it is just that we are unable to communicate in the healer channel to make it happen. What do we have, 15 or so different guilds on average in our raid? /gu is not an option for communication.
