    *** Highlights ***

    - Added an option to use the old UI instead of the new UI. See the UI section for more details.
    - The expansion requirement for purchasing and using custom Guild Halls and Guild Trophy Tribute has been reduced from Veil of Alaris to House of Thule.

    *** Items ***

    *** Tradeskills ***

    - Fixed a client crash caused by running out of inventory space while tradeskilling with Make All.
    - Tradeskill combines completed with Make All now place items directly into your bags instead of being automatically put away from your cursor. If you run out of room while using Make All, the items will be placed on your cursor. If you are holding item(s) when it's time for a new combine, they will be placed into your bags.
    - If the zone and client go out of sync when doing tradeskill combines with Make All, there should no longer be a 12 second delay.

    *** Quests & Events ***

    - Rallos Returns: Both tasks will now lock once Rallos Zek is defeated. Also, the Council will do less damage and Rallos will do a bit more damage.
    - One of Our Own (Task): Added a 30 minute replay timer.
    - Pit Fight (Raid): No non-grimlings will gain the benefits of being within Hargil Bloodpoint's aura. Achievement failure messages will be given when the first failure happens.

    - - Necromancer - Call Skeleton Swarm

    *** AA ***

    - Increased pet HP for the following swarm pet AAs at all ranks:
    - - Bard - Song of Stone

    - - Druid - Spirit of Nature (renamed from "Spirits of Nature")

    - - Shaman - Spirit Call (max pet count is now 2 starting at rank 2)
    - - Wizard - Call of Xuzl (max pet count is now 2 starting at rank 3)

    *** Overseer ***

    - Overseer event quests are now shorter! Specifically, duration timers now range from 3 - 6 hours. This change applies to all Overseer event quests, including the new quests for Stone Cold Summer, Feast of Giving, and next years Tempest Festival in addition to the previously released quests for EQ's Anniversary, Scorched Skies, Nights of the Dead, and Frostfell.

    *** Progression Servers ***

    - Davorre Bloodthorn is available starting in classic.
    - Living Legacy will now be available on servers with Secrets of Faydwer unlocked.
    - Corrected an issue that could cause stationary NPCs to not regain the ability to proximity aggro players after being Encounter Locked.
    - Updated how Kalim`Kar the Gold (in Seeds of Destruction) and Dwekvard Gravelpick execute their spell rune exchange.

    *** Miscellaneous ***

    - Corrected multiple issues that could cause an NPC's death to be credited to someone that didn't actually do the most damage to it.
    - Fixed several issues related to the spell buff windows that could cause the client to crash if a spell is attributed to a corpse or a player that's not in the current zone.
    - The expansion requirement for purchasing and using custom Guild Halls and Guild Trophy Tribute has been reduced from Veil of Alaris to House of Thule.

    *** UI ***

    - Fixed an issue where the quantity window would initialize partially off-screen.
    - Resolved an issue that would cause items in bags to flicker constantly. Flickering still may occur if you have many, many bags open, but should be less obvious.
    - Fixed item power source bars to show in all bags/banks.
    - Fixed the mail icon on the selector window always showing unread mail when using the older UI.
    - Tweaked the quantity window so it can now be escaped.
    - Added an option to use the old UI instead of the new UI. You can enable it by either checking the appropriate box in the display tab of the options window, or by adding UseNewUIEngine=0 in the Defaults section of your eqclient.ini. Please note that you MUST restart your client for the change to take effect!
    - When holding an item (or hot button or spell gem) and zoning, the attached icon should now be much closer to your cursor instead of at the top left of the screen.
    - Fixed typos and consistency mistakes in Inventory Stats and Mercenary tooltips.

And, Lo, the heavens did open and mighty Brell did pour out his wondrous blessings upon us in abundance.

    All hail Brell!

P.S. "Tradeskill combines completed with Make All now place items directly into your bags instead of being automatically put away from your cursor. If you run out of room while using Make All, the items will be placed on your cursor. If you are holding item(s) when it's time for a new combine, they will be placed into your bags"

    Very nice!

    P.P.S. "
    - Overseer event quests are now shorter! Specifically, duration timers now range from 3 - 6 hours."

Do these event quests count against the total allowed per 24 hours? I should know this, I think, but I do not recall.

If someone is already using the old UI from the method in the workaround (copy old ui files, /loadskin the old ui), will they have to do anything special to use this toggle?
  5. Stacked Apprentice

So the dmg being cut by 2/3 for Skeleton Mass for Necromancers was intentional?

If they want to go back to using the default UI or when new windows are converted that are not part of their custom ui they will have to do this.

They might have tried to compensate for this if Dark Arrow is the spell the pets are using, the Test patch added compensation to PVP Damage (max field) instead of the Regular Damage (base1 field) if this is the right thing the Swarm Archers do (think it is)

They do yea, it will just be probably easier to get because of limited time events
  8. Stacked Apprentice

I linked the spell for a reason. This is the spell. Not the AA. Please stay on topic.

Let's talk kill credit! With this month's patch, multiple bugs are being fixed with how damage is credited to attackers. An important thing to note is that the actual damage done isn't changing in any way. We're simply fixing a few bugs that awarded damage to someone that didn't actually count towards killing the NPC.

Bug 1: The attack that killed an NPC wasn't limited to only the amount of damage that was actually done. Instead, the full potential damage amount was credited to the attacker. As seen in the example below, the spell's full base damage amount of 24,408 HP is credited to the attacker even though the NPC only had 10,000 HP. This fix applies to direct damage spells, DoTs, and melee attacks.

    You begin casting Ander's Bite.
You hit Dragon for 10,000 points of poison damage by Ander's Bite.
    You have slain Dragon!

    Before Fix:
    Killshot Potential Damage
    Damage Credit: 24,408

    After Fix:
Min( NPC Remaining Health, Killshot Potential Damage )
    Damage Credit: 10,000

Bug 2: DoTs were applying double the amount of damage they actually did towards kill credit. This is an example on an NPC that has 3,000 HP at the start of the fight.

You begin casting Bane of Nife.
You hit Dragon for 259 points of poison damage by Bane of Nife. (Critical)
Dragon has taken 888 damage from your Bane of Nife. (Critical)
Dragon has taken 888 damage from your Bane of Nife. (Critical)
Dragon has taken 888 damage from your Bane of Nife. (Critical)
Dragon has taken 121 damage from your Bane of Nife. (Critical)
    You have slain Dragon!

    Before Fix:
    Nuke + ( ( Damage * Number of Ticks ) * Buged DoT Doubling )
    259 + ( ( 888 * 4 ) * 2 ) = 7,363

    After Fix:
Nuke + ( Damage * Number of Full Ticks ) + Damage of Killshot Tick
    259 + ( 888 * 3 ) + 121 = 3,044*
*Extra 44 HP here is from NPC's regen of 11hp * 4 ticks.

Bug 3: DoTs weren't applying extra damage towards kill credit from being twincast. This has been corrected and the attacker will now get the same amount of damage credit as the DoT's damage.

This example shows all three bugs in action. The killshot DoT tick doesn't get limited by the NPC's remaining HP, the DoT damage is incorrectly doubled, and the twincast damage is halved which results in an almost accurate number.

You begin casting Blood of Yoppa.
    You twincast Blood of Yoppa.
Dragon has taken 2250 damage from your Blood of Yoppa. (Twincast)
Dragon has taken 2250 damage from your Blood of Yoppa. (Twincast)
Dragon has taken 2250 damage from your Blood of Yoppa. (Twincast)
Dragon has taken 2250 damage from your Blood of Yoppa. (Twincast)
Dragon has taken 1055 damage from your Blood of Yoppa. (Twincast)
    You have slain Dragon!

    Before Fix:
( Damage * Twincast Bug Halving * Number of Ticks ) * Bugged DoT Doubling
    ( 2,250 * 0.5 * 5 ) * 2 = 11,250

    After Fix:
( Damage * Number of Full Ticks ) + Damage of Killshot Tick
    ( 2250 * 4 ) + 1055 = 10055*
*Extra 55 HP here is from NPC's regen of 11hp * 5 ticks.

With these changes, kill credit should be much more accurate and credit should be given to the person/group/raid that actually contributed the most damage towards killing an NPC.

The damage reduction on the Monk swarm pets is kinda weird when they were already pretty useless

Low HP isn't the the only reason they were unused and this change is missing like at least 1-2 0's (for the level 100 version tested)

It seems the HP was like doubled, from ~1.5k to 3k on the lvl 100 rk3 version, but kick Damage reduced by 1/3, weird changes
  11. Marton Augur

Call Skeleton Mass spell needed HP and damage increased.

Damage part is still not adjusted. To be honest, the pet folds quickly when tanking so I'm not sure what kind of HP increase was done because it feels like a very small one or none at all.

No, you just load in and uncheck use new engine in the options or do the ini thing, if you uncheck it in game, you gotta reload the game though
  14. Yinla Ye Ol' Dragon

It was can complete any 10 in 12 hours before a reset, no idea if they have changed that. Need to log in and look at it when I'm home.

Why are you changing the difficulty of 15 year old content? Don't TLP servers deserve to have event at their original difficulty?

If you want to look at older content sort out the mess that was made of HAs when they were altered to later expansions difficulty.
  16. 6502 Lorekeeper

Difficulty throughout the entire lifespan of a TLP is radically different from how it was on live in-era already. This change is most likely intended to address people one grouping that specific raid, not that it's likely to prevent it unless we're talking some serious shifts in damage output.
