Some ideas from others with similar issue in the past. Go ahead and re install direct x 9c - its easy and can fix a lot of conflicts - you want the June 2010 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 Could be a conflict with your sound card, turn it off and see how things work. If your on Century Link try disabling the "Cyber Security" feature Try going thru a free vpn just for testing. If that works then your internet provider has installed an update that you don't know about and is blocking those ports. Disabling the CenturyLink Cyber Security feature seems to have done the trick. I'll test it throughout the week and I'll be back if it takes a dump on me again. Thanks!
