The anti-melee mechanism are obvious, in the raiding scene... it's pointless to try to ignore them.
    As a general rule:

    AE rampage,
no silent casting ( and it the case of zerker, an incredibly yucky fade mechanism)
the 150khp worth of rune caster can stack up is , by an extremly large margin, better than the few hundred point of AC melee get

TDS 1: magio targetting AoE on random players ; caster can spread out and minimize hit, melee must be clumped up and are alot more likely to be hit. (also apply to tita ghost)

TDS2: targetted DoT-bomb requiring you to move away from raid ( not deadly, but a large DPS loss).

TDS3: The blue aura of death around the boss; even RoI dosen't melee that boss ( or atleast, on the last stream I watched).

    TDS4: same as TDS1

TDS5: more AoE centered around bosses...

If a melee dies the minimal dps they can put out is not worth running in and chance dieing to get another fresh rez debuff, as opposed to sitting comfortably away from the fight like a caster can. Why not get a rez hit rest and wait for rez effects to wear off and do buffless dps, instead of running in buffless and slowed so greatly its pointless to do dps. And as for your monk scenereo try again because that has a very low chance of occuring and 99/100 if the monk does do it they are not maximizing dps to begin with. Because for that to occur alot has to line up. Buffs play a huge roll in it, need infusion to be refreashed, need your spire to be refreashed, need ironfist to be refreashed, need crane to be refreashed, need shaman epic to be going. So if all those are refreashed at the same time either the monk is not clicking thier abilities or somehow they had a perfect storm upon death and with the timers of rhose abilities it is VERY unlikely they would just happen to line up that way. As a monk you get all that time line up normally once i raid at the very begining when everything is ready to be clicked and that is it. Your monk arguement is very misleading as you make it sound it is a common occurrence when it is only a chance it can happen fully buffed and should not have it line up again past the first 5 seconds of engage.
