If I'm level 68 and I joined a group with a level 84, is there an EASY way for me to disable advanced looting so the level 84 will get everything? Currently, advanced looting for me mostly consists of clicking the checkbox Always Need for every item. That's almost the only thing I do in advanced looting aside from editing the filter to enable NV (for never loot). I expect advanced looting works differently if some members haven't setup anything for a particular item--maybe hte system waits extra minutes before autodistributing to allow them to need or greed. What I'm looking for is an easy checkbox to opt out of advanced looting so I'm not included in hte pool of looters. Advanced looting can be confused sometimes. Thanks for helping.
Well one way is just turn it off - but unknown if the other group members are ok with that. Q: How do I turn off the Advanced Loot System? A: /advloot, click on “Loot Settings" button, and uncheck “Use Advanced Looting” Another way would be to click on "set all to" and choose "never" so you don't get anything. If it's just the two of you, just let him know. He can set the dropdown to his char's name, and then everything goes to him when he hits the button. That's how I do it when I box, cause I want everything going to one char, unless it's a no drop, which get parceled out, as needed.
