<Phoenix Ascendent> on <Mangler> is recruiting

Hello Everyone we are a casual guild that raids that will be on the Mangler server.

Raids are non-mandatory and pure casual players are welcomed into our ranks openly. We successfully raided content in era from Velious-GoD. We will raid Sunday's, Wednesday's, and Thursdays 830pm - 1130pm eastern time. All raids will earn DKP but we will have 2 raids where DKP is spent and 1 raid that will be nbg each week. This allows us to award people that raid more often and also have an avenue to help gear up more casual players fairly.

Mission Statement
Phoenix Ascendent is a guild that mixes a casual element with raiding. In other words we are a casual guild that raids. Our goal is to provide a safe fun space for all members to enjoy the content on the Mangler server how they see fit. Raiding is not mandatory it is your choice to join us on any given raid however be prepared to take on a business like approach to the tasks at hand whenever you do choose to raid with us. Anyone that chooses not to raid whether it be just a one night miss or someone that never attends is a valuable member of our community and we want everyone to feel a part of the team.

Guild Rules

1. Have fun.
2. We are not a PG guild. We will make fun of each other, swear, make sexual innuendos etc so while you are welcome to bring your children in the guild please be aware of the environment they will be in as we will not change who we are for them.
3. That being said don’t be an . Phoenix Ascendent cares deeply about the reputation of the guild. Remember when you are wearing our tag you are representing our guild and every member in it. If you do things that build a bad reputation you build a bad reputation for every member in our guild.
4. It is preferred that you don’t go anonymous. If you want to hide your location or other matters please use the /roleplay option. You have our tag and we want you to wear it proudly.
5. Raiding is non mandatory. While we will ask in guild chat if anyone wants to join a raid we do not send tells directly to members asking if they want to join us in an attempt to make them feel guilty about not attending a raid.
6. If you choose to raid with us follow the raid rules.

Raid Rules
Required

1. Pay attention to raid say. Do not speak there unless you are providing instructions for the raid in some capacity. Talk in either guildchat or private channels.
2. While banter in discord is allowed right before encounters discord is to be clear of chatter. Discord is great for building camaraderie but during the fights it’s designed to be able to quickly relay information to those on the raid.
3. If you choose to attend raids and don’t want to use discord then Gina is required. Gina is strongly recommended regardless if you use discord or not.

Strongly Recommended

1. Buy a shrinking item. Shrinking is vital for getting 72 people into encounters safely. Warriors there is the cobalt bracer, there is a shrinking wand, shrink potions, and a tinkered minimizing device out there. If you are lucky enough to have a warrior, beastlord, or shaman in your group you are free to ask for shrinks as well.
2. Buy and come stocked with invis potions or a way to invis yourself.
3. Bots on raids are on an as needed basis and that is up to raid leadership whether they will be allowed to join. Mains always take priority over bots unless bot is there by request of raid leadership. (We will get all your characters flagged they can always be added into the raid to get their flags and then removed as needed.)

Loot Rules

1. All characters earn their own dkp. It can only be transferred to another one of your characters with approval from officers.
2. You are responsible for checking and knowing your own dkp. You overspend there will be penalties up to and including dkp reductions but initially it will be a warning.
3. Any loot that drops off trash will be need before greed rolled.
4. Keys and quest drops will go to those furthest along first and others will get a shot at it once those nearing completion have received the piece.

6. Spending DKP
   1. Silent Max Bids (You get one bid and you send in what the item is worth to you).
   2. Highest bid wins it for the amount they bid. You will never know how many other people bid or how much they bid
   3. Bots and alts can bid but if a main bids more than 30DKP for the item then bots and alts are out of the bidding.
   4. If you are a Bot or alt you must say Bot bid or alt bid in the tell to the officer running that particular item. Failure to do so may result in dkp penalties for the main and the bot. Any Bot that wins a DKP bid will have their DKP dropped to 0 automatically.

d) 10 DKP for first kills
e) 1 DKP for each raid target that has been previously killed

Reserved Raid Loot
Certain Unique Items/Drops come from raid targets that offer us the opportunity as a guild to help with our progression. These items help with utility and raid mechanics and can be a key in contributing to our success as a guild. As such it is our goal to try and make sure these items are available to the guild as often as possible. These items will generally go to the person who has the highest raid attendance. This rule will be used only on very rare occasions. Example Blades of Carnage will go to warriors with the highest raid % first and they will be charged a set amount of DKP of for example 50 DKP.

General Expectations

As a guild it is in each of our best interest to help each other complete quests, make groups for exp, and in general just have fun together. However, if you intend on raiding with us there are some general expectations that you will help each other work on keys and flagging outside of raid times. It is each individual's responsibility to make sure they are completing their keys and flags on their own. Additionally it’s important that each member helps when they can to complete these keys and flags as this is the only way we will be able to raid and do content is if everyone is keyed and flagged. Leadership will do their best to organize keying and flagging events at the beginning of expansions but in the end it’s still each individual’s responsibility to complete their keys if they intend to raid.

Are you related in any way with the old "Phoenix Ascendent" on Seventh Hammer, way back in the day (2002-2003 era)?

No we are Phoenix Emerging from Phinny. We were hoping that name wasn't taken. If it was we will have to reverse course on our name which would be very unfortunate.

Oh, I don't think it's taken any more. I'm still on Tunare (Seventh got merged into Tunare), but haven't seen anyone with the tag in well over a decade. Plus, it's a different server, so have at it.

Have you guys got an idea of what classes you might need more of based on your current applicants?

monks, int casters, clerics mainly at this point. another rogue or 2 wouldn't hurt.

Still looking for bodies to feed to dragons, gods and other horrible things that may want to devour your souls.

Got between 35 and 40 signed up, most are chilling in our discord. Would like to hit 70 strong by the time game launches.

Will start farming fear/hate trash hopefully Monday if xp bonus from anniversary is in. All nbg, dkp will not start collecting until force is of lvl and number to kill bosses.

The numbers are rounding out really well, and we still have a bunch of indecisive people in the wings to flesh out the remaining classes (myself included /sigh). This is gonna be a blast
