Reposting a previously marked "Fixed Internally" bug as the fix doesn't seem to have gone in Dev Post acknowledging fix to be implemented in April Bug: "an enslaved miner" NPCs in Greater Faydark are spawning on TLP servers as a result of the Anniversary Tower quests implemented. These skeletons are aggressive, level 45+, and wander around a commonly frequented "newbie" yard adding substantial threat to players utilizing it.
Didn't say they wouldnt be KOS, but would have aggro range adjusted. Are you conning them, or running by further than "hugging" and getting aggro?
Expansion locked NPCs are hard to code for with these sweeping events, hopefully it can be corrected before the event ends
These need to be non KOS or static spawns, preferably both, away from newbie mobs or there will be an awful lot of dead wood and high elves on Teek and Tormax.
While it would be rather hilarious to have these KOS and owning noobs on Tormax/Teek, seems obvious it should be fixed before then.
These still aggro a level 100 from further away then hugging distance so the aggro range is 100% broken. A level 3 will be violated from the orc lift if the mob is in the northern half of the zone. Please to make non kos
They said they locked the mobs to the expansion. That means you won't see any level 100 versions any more on "early" TLPs. But if you have PoP unlocked, you will still see level 65 versions. Yes, this is not exactly a fix. They should just make them non-KOS so people can pick and fight the ones they want. Still need to kill 20 of them.
And at launch of the new TLPs there will still be KoS level 50 mobs running around in areas meant for levels 1s.
I just got KOS unexpectedly by one of these guys not fun for a newbie. would be nice to move them away from the newbie area and not on the path to butcher block when newbies might not know of your "FUN" updates.
There was zero reason to do this task this way. The previous key task should have set the precedent: mobs only spawn if A) you have the task, and B) hit the location to make them pop. And that location should be a spot away from traffic, especially in a newbie zone. Whoever is doing these tasks is not even remotely thinking things through.
Point of fact, "You will be fine" is not an accurate statement, level 110 miners were spawning on Oakwynd with a lvl 65 cap
Have you looked recently? The fix, which was already explained, was to restrict the max level to be in relation to whatever expansion the server is on. They did that so right now the assumption is at max there will be some lvl 60 skeletons walking around with all the lvl 20 skeletons. Them being kos though is not a bug
To be fair GFAY should be listed as a 1-125 in the zone guide like EVERY other starting city in the game (it's a bug/oversight that its not).. It also has a level 50-60 "dungeon" in the trees with mobs to kill.... That being said capping the mobs at 20ish and making them non aggressive is probably the best option
Agnarr still has level 70 skeletons wandering... Fun bit though: When doing this quest you can go to gfay newbie hill and kill 18 level 1 decaying skeletons which takes about 2 minutes. They do count for progress. Then go to the NW conrner of the map and snatch the actual miner skeletons you can handle to get the required drops. And then you're already at the log where the orc will spawn. But it's good to see the miners are no longer KOS on Test.
Making the miners non-kos fixes the only problem I had with it, watching l a level 2 being corpse camped at his respawn by 2 lvl 120 skeletons was idiotic
