Chain farmers, six boxers, and raid guild players like to hit every topic by calling out other players as lazy. I have no problem with players playing how they would like, but to put others down for not playing that way is, as you say, rich. What they fail to notice is that games that cater to that kind of player often fail the others, and that is one of the reasons people left EQ for DAoC and WoW.

Look at this topic as an example. The OP is asking what has to be done to evolve this item. The fact that progressions need to be completed in both previous expacs makes it difficult for many players to evolve the item. Stating that the all or nothing evolution is tough to do for casual players is straightforward and factual. It makes no difference that chain farmers, six boxers, and raid guild players can do it. It doesn't even matter that some casual players can do it; it matters if it is a factual statement about this item for a majority of casual players. That is obviously lost on some people.

They also missed the part about the game needing some items like this. They act like we all are so envious of their L33T L00T that we don't think that loot should be in the game. For the most part, we are not. We play the way we play because that is the way we want to play. As long as the game has a balance, we welcome chase loot and uber evolving items. That doesn't make some of those items any less "meh" for those of us who are not chain farmers, six boxers, and raid guilders.
