Man i thought it was going to be a substantial bump in bard DPS.. turns out its just a melee AE damage nerf.
Yay more nerfs! Every time I think about coming back, I just look at the upcoming updates area and decide, " Why bother coming back, every update is new nerfs." 3rd time in a row I've started the launcher, downloaded updates, checked to see what's new, and decided to just close the launcher and not bother.
Oh boy here we go again... So, fixing bugs is great. Even old ones. This though was something that was "fixed" a few years back and the community was very against it. So much so that other classes gained riposte-immunity skills. I dont understand why we are going back again and changing this.
If your holding onto the notion that sk's need a DPS boost your playing with some terrible SK's. That is a fact.
Translation: While brainstorming what to do in future releases, we decided it would be far too difficult and time consuming to come up with content that is both tuned and challenging because of what EverQuest characters have been capable of for the past seventeen years. Instead of developing a shoe that fits, we decided we would accidentally stumble upon code that has been bringing players enjoyment and poop all over it so our future developments are a little less of a pushover than normal. Nothing? Maybe they wont be 2x the dps of the #2 dps class now Plus they aren't nerfing the Focused version, just the AE version, so on single target mobs it is just a slight DPS decrease, not a Massive one that AE'ing will be.
Because your pulling stuff out of your..... yes please do. also they added - Ranks 1-5 of Shield Specialist are now ranks 1-5 of Knight's Weapon Mastery, which increases the base damage of all weapon types wielded by the knight regardless of wearing a shield.

That is different lengths. They are not my parses to share but just to show you that you do not need a boost. That't more than respectable for a tank lol. People's shortcoming's in not knowing the capabilities of the class they play does not necessitate the need for a boost in DPS.
LOL now put up the pally parses for those times! Oh you cant, because your sk is way better than the majority of your dps players. Sad. Also you should state if raid or group, going to assume raid. Your also showing a sk in a dps group, you really should put that out there too.
Paladin do sick dps too but no I do not have those parses at my fingertips at the moment. Also if your worried about a DPS group vs a tank group just wtf do you want out of this game? Thats in a raid. Either tank or play a dps class. I used to think the warriors were the beta's but this thread is quickly proving that to be untrue lol.
There is a huge difference in the dps that an tank does inside a dps group or a tank group, everyone knows this, the thing is you will post an sk in a dps group vs what a pally can do in a tank group! Oh and a pally can do much better btw
Crazy thing is he tanks throughout the event too. I'm not even sure your following from where this started. Someone said SK's need a dps boost. No you don't. That is a fact. You want to pump out 200k and tank at the same time. Get real lol.
