Krono Prices Mischief?

Nah, I only had to buy out like 60 krono this morning, not 200-250. What a surprise that a conspiracy theory flourishes.
  2. Gnothappening Augur

Your 24M pp makes me sad.
  3. Achillez Elder

I'm actually happy to hear that if that is the case. Can't blame people reacting some kind of way when they see krono prices double in an hour given the crappy 1000% inflation of krono over the 8 weeks of Luclin.

    A touch off.

There is absolutely nothing unusual about the Mischief economy whatsoever. Business as usual.

    On mischief or live?
  7. Lemerian Elder

    Mischief, of course.

Was Richgirl's account banned? Her/His alt is Nosucow who is always trying to get people to inflate the kronos prices on purpose.
  9. Achillez Elder

I don't think Richgirl had anything to do with the accounts banned. While some may look down upon it, running casinos and buying out krono to manipulate the market is not against the rules, nor do I see any good reason why it should be. Using a bug in game to duplicate platinum however is against the rules, and the accounts that were banned late November were involved with that in some way, so it has been said.

I just don't see where all of the plat comes from. I get one person stacking it up from other people on the servers. I just don't get where that much plat comes from in the first place.

They really need to build some sort of plat fee into the bazaar.
  11. Lemerian Elder

I earned all mine legitimately in the sense that I bought and sold on the bazaar or manually in person, but a lot of people think that there was a dupe and a number of top people claimed to have proof that there was a dupe. So it's possible that's the genesis for the huge amount of platinum on the server.

There have been other huge jumps like this, quite a bit bigger in fact, and people suppose that was the dupers dumping. I kind of just wanted to see what I could do as a single person.
  12. Mrjon3s Augur

Dupe or exploit had to have happened. We have people afk farming on rizlona for longer then your server has been around and yet you guys have more plat in circulation.

  13. Soulsiphon Elder

Mischief has 5,000 players more than Rizlona. So your argument is null. Just because you have a few 50+ box crews on Rizlona doesn't mean you should farm more plat.
  14. c313 Augur

Guys its a dupe. Like, foreal. No other explanation like, foreal. Obviously there was a dupe like, foreal.

    Source: Trust me bro
  15. Achillez Elder

I don't understand the constant absolutely flawed logic of more players = more plat = higher prices. More players ALSO means there are more people to distribute the platinum amongst. It's incredibly easy to grasp logic. What do you think prices of krono would be higher on, a server with 100 people farming 1,000,000pp total a day total, or a server with 5000 people on it farming 10,000,000pp total a day across the server? Obviously prices are higher on the 100 person server because there are less people/demand to distribute the wealth amongst.
  16. Tweakfour17 Augur

High krono prices are a good thing for people who want plat to interact with NPCs like for armor templates, tradeskills, spells, type 3 augs eventually etc. High krono prices are bad if you're trying to farm your own sub w/o paying real money or you're trying to farm krono to sell for real money. Krono prices don't make any difference to the people who just want to run around with friends fighting mobs and doing quests.
  17. Achillez Elder

Not exactly true. Krono price is a good indicator of how much platinum is distributed per player throughout the economy. It is also what platinum prices of high end items are based off that are sold in the bazaar. If krono are 100k a piece, a person selling a raid item for 4 krono will list it in the bazaar at 400k - if krono are 500k a piece, they will up the price to 2Mpp, as they should and is expected. This is not exclusive to to high end raid items. Name one other server in history throughout the entirety of the game, have fungi tunics selling for 200kpp (and it is also relevant to note there are FAR more fungi tunic drops on this server because of random loot). Rather than point out half the items from plane of time can't even be listed in the bazaar as their platinum value well exceeds the 2,000,000pp bazaar limit, it's easier to point out something that is pretty standardized as far as supply and demand (krono) are an order of magnitude higher in price than any other TLP at this point, the trickle effect being all items have grossly inflated platinum prices.
  18. Nolrog Augur

Krono prices seem to have jumped 100K or so in the last few days on Thornblade. Up to about 500K
  19. Nolrog Augur

Agree. The bazaar is a great example of the laws of supply and demand. Krono prices are going up because there is a lot of plat flowing into the economy which causes massive inflation.

It's not a good thing because it devalues the existing platinum and causes the prices of everything to go up.
  20. Nighthawk Lorekeeper

I just hope they can figure out where the dupe came from if that was indeed the culprit. I have never seen a TLP economy with this much plat in circulation. It could ruin every future TLP's economy if not handled properly.
