Why does the Orion only get 200 reserve?

I feel like it makes me reliant on Engineers for any sort of prolonged combat.

So what's the reason? Nanites?

All weapons in each class get a certain number of magazines, so guns that hold more rounds per magazine get a larger ammo pool total. In the Orion's case, I suspect that if you had all the ammo you needed, there'd be no one left.

Every CQC 50 round magazine LMG for each faction gets 200 reserve ammo.

Orion has what, 50 round magazine? 200 is generous I believe.

Because you wish you had the NC6 Freedom Saw that carries enough ammo to slaughter a small army of infantry without ammo pouches.

No thanks, I like having a default LMG that doesn't take forever to reload/sucks in CQC/has absolutely horrid CoF. I like my Orion and Pulsar LSW just fine.
