Vehicle hitboxes

    Hello guys,

is there any video showing exactly the hitboxes on vehicle? There are some things that are not clear to me, like how much damage does shot to particular parts of turret, or if turret top side is included in top armor.

    Thank you.

To the best of my knowledge, the damage bonus to a shot in the Planetside 2 engine has little to do with where the shot actually lands and more to do with the relative positioning of the players to eachother when the server exchanges the information - with the relative positions seen on the shooters screen assumed as correct.

This is quite different from commercial Tank games, such as World of Tanks, which has penetration mechanics with defined hitboxes for modules and crew.

Ok, so imagine a situation: you are facing an enemy tank. Your position is on terrain that is either slightly lower or sloped, so the enemy sees your flat top side. His shot lands directly in front of your turret, so it should be top armor. But it could also be said that the enemy was in front of you. So how is it?

Would just like to point out that guns do in fact have CoF and often that CoF does get larger the hotter the barrel gets.

    Thanks
Yes, they do. But in PS2 our hands are steel and gun is gummy. Hell, we can even shoot a chaingun without stock...
