At least its not TRION, that made me abandon Archeage (im still waiting another good f2p mmorpg sandbox) and RIFT (man, if they didnt start selling raid gear with rex there could be other history)

I just saw a Tweet or something on the feed to the right before I opened this, saying that Daybreak are actually aware of this issue and are working on a solution. If workarounds aren't happening for people, then they should merely wait.

When you signed up for your Daybreak account, you signed up for it presumably having read the terms and conditions and therefore in the knowing that problems may occur that prevent you from playing the video game for a period of time. This isn't an issue that has affected thousands of people over a few years, this is a more recent one. Perhaps a similar issue has previously occurred and since disappeared, and perhaps individual players experienced similar issues before this one surfaced properly.

The best that you can do is to confirm the issue with others (as has been done, as I understand it, in this thread), and look into posting detailed information about the issue and your findings in either a new post or existing post in the issue tracker. That's what it's there fore - so more pressing matters can reach developers faster than through isolated account incidents through customer support and community whining.

And, honestly, this is something I highly recommend - not many other games have that kind of potential support - even if it is community-driven. It is not the same as this site, because each individual post is eventually rated and reviewed - potentially to the point where developers are handed information about them - provided that they are serious and worth the effort.

I agreed, why the f u c k do we have to do all the work, just to make this game launch when it's naturally suppose to be the dev's job in fixing this mess.

This is just BS! Here I was, about to pay full membership. Forget that now. I don't wanna waste money on a game that can't launch and only gives me errors.

I did the 64.37.169.11 manifest.patch.station.sony.com trick for the last time and worked, dont forget to flush the dns, and dont close the game x.x

Thats why i support f2p not pay to win games

This was stolen from another post, did the trick for me, but it's like likely that we just need step 3, the redirection on the host file. I had to run notepad as administrator and then open the host file internally cos WinX wouldn't allow me to modify it. Rgds.

1/ Open Task Manager, find LaunchPad.exe then "End task" this process.
2/ Delete all content in 2 directory :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.libs\LaunchPad.Cache
C:\Users\<YOUR PC USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Daybreak Game Company\Digests

3/ Open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, copy the host file to somewhere, then open that host file and add this link :

64.37.169.11 manifest.patch.daybreakgames.com

This is what I did and it worked fine.
Just change your DNS to googles 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 DNS sever.

I have the non steam version of the game installed. This is also a desktop and is hardwired, not wireless, running windows ten.


Control Panel> Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings> (right click) Local Area Connection (left click) Properties > (find in list) Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)> (left click) Properties > (left click) Use the following DNS sever addresses > Preferred DNS sever: 8.8.8.8, Alternative DNS sever: 8.8.4.4> (left click) OK.

ALL USERS, THE ISSUE HAS BEEN PATCHED! RESUME NORMAL OPERATIONS!

man, you hurt my feeling. Like I said in the end of my post, i just tried other solution and came up with a new solution which i think it can help people. Basictly i just want to help. Don't say that is "stolen", don't use that word, so pity. You don't get it.

even after i close the game or restart my computer, i still didnt like the idea to mess with windows files though...

but did the devs patch this yet ? i've seen a tiny update start when i launched the launcher or maybe it was just the thing it always does when it fills the bar idk...
