The hex mapping could be simpler

The HEx lanes look great and will definitively focus the battle. But the territory boundaries dont make much sense. Hex like shapes look cool, but the hex shapes around these territories are abit extreme. It would be simpler and more easily understandable to make straight "lattice like" lines connected to the "hex like" shapes around the facilities...especially since you have to be withing a certain radius of the facility to even see the capture status.

Enlarging the radius would also help to prevent the vehicle "clogging" that currently occurs when a base is being captured... doesn't make sense not to award people who were actively participating in the battle and were not withing 100m of the capture point. This way you can use the "hex like" shape to display the actual territory in which players will be awarded for point captures.

player will know whether they are near the territory under siege because the main UI element already displays whether a player is in a neutral or contestable environment without the player having to reference his map.

end result being a clearer map for players and less time for UI designers to spend trying to make the current hex territories look appealing to the eyes...I know the map UI designers are going for a stylish hex look...but it clutters the map and wastes time and doesnt really add much clarity.
