You don't have to change class to use multiple cortium bombs at the same time. I just did this to illustrate. You can pull a light assault, equip it with the bomb, get back to the sundy to get another, 3 or 4 times in a row (before the first one blows). Imagine driving up to an enemy construction base with a sundy and setting up a continuous flow of 3 bombs, as soon as one is blown up you're already replacing it with another.... That's just mental?
