[Suggestion] T9 Carv have the same attachments as Gauss Saw

I wish the TR default LMG have the same attachement as the NC default LMG Gauss Saw.

Gauss Saw with "Advance foregrip", compensator, and HV ammo. The 3 most important attachments for LMG
T9 Carv got the regular foregrip, that's it!!!

    This is just not right!!!

They are different styles of MG though, the Gauss Saw is similar to the TR TMG-50 and the VS Orion is similar to the MSW-R of TR.

The T9 Carv just doesent really fit a special Niche like the other factions starting ones and people don't really use it longer than they have to.

And yet if I was to reroll the TR, T9 would be the only gun id upgrade, the rest are just bleh. The T9 is the only TR LMG that goes along with the TR Bullethose mentality. The rest slow down and become far worse then atleast the NC counterparts.

I thought it was kinda ******** that the T9 is so limited as well, one reason I went ahead with other guns, but in the end, T9 is the only good one. T9 should totally have the option to mount the Adv Laser Sight and x2 scope. The TR are a bullet spray faction, Laser Sights help TR guns to do that better, where as Handgrips help the NC to play to thier strength.

    I agree.
I have both the MSW and TMG-50, yet I still default back to my T9 Carv when its clutch time.
Honestly though I think they would have done this by now if they were going to at all, as opposed to increase its deploy time.
Would you really use anything else if they allowed the Carv to have those attachments?
  5. GImofoJoe

If Carv have those attachements, then I use it for mid-long range. For closer range I use my t7 chaingun and shotgun.
NC people still use other LMG, they don't stick with default, even though it's probably their best.
I don't understand why they let 1 faction default LMG have all the best attachments for an LMG and left the other factions to dry.

    Carv masterace

Because secretly, all the devs favor the NC.

I think the Carv is fine as it is and i really love that rifle. It's great for short/medium ranges. HV Ammo isn't that good anyways and the Compensator makes Hipfire Accuracy worse.

The Gauss SAW might look better on paper but honestly i rarely get killed in a 1v1 against a SAW user. The big advantage of the Carv is the rate of fire. If you hit your enemy he has a very hard time keeping the crosshair on you due to the flinch. This is why weapons with a high rate of fire dominate the battlefield. If you hit someone with a weapon that has 750+ RPM his aim gets screwed up and you usually win the fight.

You say that but the Carv sound fires twice as fast as it actually does. Fix the sound and I bet it's as slow as the TMG 50.

I have the TMG-50 as well - I certed it with sight, grip and compensator and now it's ok (I like the 1 and 2 shot options) but ur right, when you need to kick it, the Carv is what I fall back to - the TMG I tend to use at longer ranges.

    Lol

Carv QQ... Irony lvl10000000000000, what more you want from the rifle that defines TR's massive advantage compared to any other faction in infantry combat?

You want a underbarrel exploding nuke shark launcher too on it?
  12. UnDeaD_CyBorG

The NC6 Gauss SAW has all those attachments because it's what other factions have as a 1000 cert / 700 SC weapon; It's specialized for long range, with the best ADS accuracy, high damage, and the option of HV ammo.
    In turn, it has respective drawbacks;
The dps is not quite up with an Orion, which like the Carv has few attachments, and the weapon has such an insane recoil it really needs the advanced foregrip to get about as sustainable as most weapons out there with the normal grip, or none at all.
  13. Jex =TE=

So the advanced FG does the same as a regular FG on the weapons without as much recoil?
  14. Syranorn

Carv a massive advantage ? the carv better than the SVA-88 or EM6 ? We may not play the same game.
  15. BarxBaron

Some people are still in the middle of "OMG nerf CARV!!!11oneone!!" mentality for some reason.

    Orion.

    Nuff' said.
  16. Jex =TE=

The Carv is possibly the best LMG for TR - that doesn't mean it's the best LMG - if you can't kill things it's your lack of skills and brain power.

[Suggestion] Gauss Saw have the same DPS and hipfire accuracy as T9 Carv.... ?

Then You can have Saw addons, fine !

No VS LMG can take the advanced forward grip... not even the Flare (would be useful if it could)... ponder upon that.

Carv doesn't need it and would be op with it... christ I'd love it if I could stick an Advanced anything onto my Orion, but it would be BS if I could.
  19. UnDeaD_CyBorG

    It certainly comes close.
The Gauss SAW has 0.55 recoil. The Saw S has 0.5.
All other lmgs have 0.45 or lower; On those <0.4 the recoil is probably lower with a grip than the SAW with Adv. Grip, and the VS Polaris and Pulsar have only 0.3 recoil; The SAW can probably not reach that even with a lvl 2 grip.
Though you have to keep in mind that most of those weapons fire 20-50% faster, so the recoil over time might see them equal again.
They also have higher first shot recoil multipliers, and often less base ADS accuracy, which further cements the SAW as a long range specialist.

    As for those comparing DPS:
Always factor in the up-front damage.
    A SAW has 1666.7 dps,
    a CARV has 1785.5.

Yet, the TTK at point blank range is absolutely the same, thanks to the battle starting with the first bullet, giving the SAW an initial 57 damage lead.
At medium range the CARV pulls ahead, while at long ranges, it lacks the attachments to stay competitive. Seems relatively balanced in the grand scheme of things.

@JonnyMaverik: Well, VS weapons largely specialize in low recoil, so adv. grips are unnecessary. Sure, less options to build on existing strengths, but they exist even with laser sights or extended magazines.
A VX29 with Advanced Foregrip and Compensator would be a recoilless rifle.
  20. JohnnyMaverik

That was kind of my point (although I do think the Flare should have access to it rather than the extended magazine). Stick an advanced forward grip on a VS Orion, LSW or even the SVA-88, or the TR Carv, Carv-S or MSW-R they would become very OP weapons, you could just spray all day with them, perhaps not with the SVA-88 or Carv-S but they would still become ridiculous weapons.

Plus TR already have access to the T16 which can take the advanced forward grip and by default has a very low recoil value, if you want to spray all day get that gun, sure there is an ROF trade off, but there has to be a trade off somewhere.
