At the moment it takes forever to drop some ammo. You need to find a suitable spot. Nobody can walk across that spot for 1-2 secs. Sometimes you have to deploy it more than once until it's really dropped. It takes way to long to finally render. Please make it like mines and just let me drop it very quickly, without having to worry to much about where i throw it. Maybe make it a little bit sticky, so it doesn't slowly creep down slopes. While you're at it, give it a separate slot please. Having it on the same slot as the turret is fine, but most people don't know about that. And I think it's not too big a deal to have it separate.
I've posted it numerous times: F key special: drop ammo directly where you are standing. The ace tool trick is neat, but you can tell how well it's presented by the number of new players who get a mine and never ever drop ammo again. I don't even know how someone would make such a convoluted system to place ammo, and not think of a simple way that just works, like it just appearing right where you are.
You got my hopes up, mate! I guess that could work though. Would be better than it is right now, but I'd like a separate slot more. It's actually a pretty awesome idea!
I can see why there's a bigger issue with turrets. They have to stand straight up 90° from the ground. The ground needs to be nearly flat. It needs a deploytime, otherwise it would be too OP. But I guess it can be improved as well.
Oh god yes PLEASE. It was like this in alpha... i dont even understand why they changed it. It feels awkward and clumsy to drop ammo.
