[Suggestion] Stealth Ammo

What is it?: Stealth ammo is ammo without the traditional tracers.

How would it work?: Just like any other ammo type albeit without the damage structure being altered. It presents an alternative to players who just want a little more stealthiness rather than damage at certain ranges. It would not effect minimap range or muzzle flash. Because it would he a bullet without a tracer it would take up minimal developer resources and still add something extra to the game.

Who gets it? Any weapon with access to other ammo types has access to this ammo type.

Pros/Cons?: Because this round lacks a tracer it will require a higher level of skill to aim and lead at range. The pro is that you are less physically visible from mostly longer ranges.

Example of use?: You are on a cliff at evening time on indar, as an engineer countersniping with your warden/amr-66/eidolon. You would have equiped a flash suppressor because the weapon is not fully automatic and at your vantage point, it doesnt need to be spammed. You are racking up kills but you notice that despite the lack of muzzle flash, you see red/yellow/cyan tracers getting nearer and nearer to their target(your head) so you head to the sundy perched on this cliff and decide to equip stealth ammo.

It is still niche but when you need that little bit extra youll have it. And also think what this example gives up for stealth. Increased bullet velocity and damage at range and recoil control for stealth.

Have been mildly curious if they'd ever do anything about ammo types, at present they lack any sort of... necessity, soft point is basically the automatic choice for any unlock, might as well remove it and just make the guns cost 100 certs more, same with the scout rifles and their high velocity ammo.
There's simply no there there, it's an unlock that serves practically no purpose, its not real choice between options, just a checkbox on a weapon you got.

Bump. Because I really thought this was a good Idea.

Sounds like someone got used to having effects turned off and wants nobody else to see the tracers they've adjusted to not having :p

J/K, don't know if you actually did that or not...

it's an interesting idea, but what's the drawback? Lower range on damage degradation? (faster dmg dropoff, same min dmg? less min dmg?)

    It's ... interesting.

NS weapons are good to use if you don't want to be TOO obvious... tracers are there, but if you flank right it's not always obvious it's enemy but for the people you're shooting at.
