[Serious thought] Implants should work like camos. How to benefit SOE and players both.

    One time purchase, Switch between them. HOWEVER

    Due to camos being cosmetic and implants actually affecting gameplay.

    The way they work should be a tad different.

    Camo works like this currently
    - One time buy, use for every kind of unit (infantry, or vehicles depending on what type you bought)

    HOW IMPLANTS WOULD DIFFER
    - You buy it just like camo, one time purchase, except it would be locked to THE LOADOUT YOU CHOOSE.
    For whatever class you choose. Perhaps give implant slots per loadouts? Also implants would be purchasable through certs not just SC.

    -When you buy the implant from the market, you choose which loadout on which class you wish to lock it to just an FYI how the purchase and equip would work.

    Ex. You can only have 3 implant slots per loadout (like suit slot for example, you can have multiple suit abilities but only use one at a time, at first you would have 3 empty implant slots to start out with per load out, which would allow you to fill up with 3 implants)

    This does many things to benefit SOE and players (compared to the single consumable model)

    1. People will be much more inclined to buy implants knowing they will OWN it once they buy it.
    2. Because it is load out specific it would encourage more purchases of implants anyway for more implants on more loadouts
    3. It would allow higher pricing of implants and eventually universal purchase of implants (similar to the helmets they have been coming out with that unlocks cosmetics for all classes not just one but the price would be higher to reflect that)
    4. If implant capacities are given per loadout. IT WOULD ACTUALLY ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO BUY EXTRA LOADOUTS allowing extra loadouts to give a benefit of some practical kind.
    5.Due to implants being purchasable SOE would have to keep active with rolling out more implants on a regular basis to keep things interesting, which would also give players more joy and entertainment, and SOE more money.
    6. Because implants would be load out specific it would encourage players to collect all implants for all loadouts. (Gotta collect um all never fails)
    7. The more implants they come out with the more implant slots for loadouts they can keep adding so its possible to fit more implants into individual loadouts.
    (Meaning they would make available for purchase more implant slots to reflect the current number of implants on the market so the people who wish to own them all across as many loadouts as possible can, if they are willing to spend the money, THIS ALSO MEANS a whole other purchasable item for SOE to make money off of and it would be long term since they could add more intermittently to reflect the available amount of implants. Of course the extra slots would be SC only as well.)

    "Buying duplicates of implants I already have? bah that is stupid"....Ya well they already have done this kind of thing before people.
    *COUGH* harasser weapons, soooo it wouldn't be too big of a deal

    Also remember when they did the one time camo purchase thing, and they stopped it cause no one was buying them (supposedly), the implant model seems eerily similar, why make the same or similar mistake? Instead of making a more thought out system that benefits SOE and lets players feel like they aren't being cheated with "rented" items.

    TO RECAP (TLDR)

    Make implants like camo but loadout specific.
    Multiple implant slots per loadout so as to specialize that loadout with the limited amount of implants available to that loadout; meaning there are 7 implants on the market but your ONE loadout can only fit 3...you better make sure to buy the ones that benefit that loadout, OR buy more loadouts. Either way SOE gets more money and the player gets what they want,

    IN CONCLUSION

    This would make loadouts much more useful and benefit those who have extra loadouts, and benefit SOE and players alike without feeling too P2W, By encouraging the purchase of loadout slots, and reward members who have the extra set already unlocked (also members would get extra implant slots as well of course).

    Not true, they can make it work if they put effort into making them fun and also a good source of income for themselves.
