My monitor supports 1920x1080 but it is an hd television screen that supports a max of 1080i, meaning that it will only display a maximum of 30 frames per second in that resolution. I would like to bring it down to 1280x720 which would bring it to 60fps however the game will not allow me to bring the resolution any lower. Is there any way to fix this?
if its a TV its 1368x720 not 1280. But dunno I dont have your issue I can easily change my resolution. If you dont have any listed maybe you should go into your GFX control panel and add a custom resolution and set it to 1368x720 that is what a 720P TV's resolution is.
Well regardless it won't let me go below 1080 in the game, it only lists two resolutions, 1920x1080 and 1770 by something. (Not looking at it right now as I'm in queue.) No matter what I do to change the resolution the game defaults back. :/
Try opening the "UserOptions" in the PlanetSide 2 instalation folder and changing, FullscreenWidth=1920, FullscreenHeight=1080 to a lower resolution that your tv supports
