Really sucks when...

    Really sucks when, I get all excited for triple station cash, make my lib look nice and shiny. But forced to exit out the game because anytime I take off, I get rocket podded to hell. At first I thought it was a fluke, but this has been happening consistently to myself as well as friends that I have played with.

    The recent update has helped with this rocket pod business a LOT, however it hasn't stopped ESF's farming kills with it. I don't get it, why/how are rocket pods so effective against liberators? Whats the fix for it? I like to fly in the Lib and this is primarily what I do in this game. But it seems that flying it now is pointless, we get ganked by one ESF who just uses a whole salvo and then chases us down since we have no defense against it, even when we fly with escorts they just finish us off in one salvo then work on running away.

    Is there any possibility of adding an armor type to the liberator to defend specifically against rockets and rocket pods? At this point I don't even car about getting shot up by flak because that seems actually legitimate. But these rocket pods have to stop. I'm honestly considering quitting, its gotten that bad

    Really sucks when, people are upset they can't sit in outer space and effortlessly kill an entire army of enemy units.

    I will be happy if this triple SC means people hunting Libs, and Lib pilots need other light air craft to defend them.

    Adds to team play, something PS1 used to have, if you want to use an OP weapon you better have support.

    its never been "effortless" and it doesn't matter since Rocket Pods > everything else

    You are smoking dope if you think rocket pods > Liberator bombs.

    1 Liberator, 2 "ESF" with A2A missiles is how I see this class being played if its going to be fair, the ESF are only Anti-Air because the Lib is going the ground killing. How does hovering and point and click with no fear of being shot down = effort?

    I have not really been in any liberators, I think air is gay. but I can shoot down aircraft in a galaxy, why can your gunners not kill them in your lib?

    fly around in a lib for a few days, as a gunner, THEN come back. and re-state your opinion

    So the OP is happy because he's got triple SC and can kit his lib out... but he's mad that others' also got triple SC and are kitting their ESFs out??

    If you are a lone Lib, with no one covering your back, what do you expect?
    As soon a an ESF is able to get on top of you, with no one to shoo it away, then you are in trouble.

    Maybe this person is new or doesn't grasp the concept of PS2.
    Sure it is partially P2W.
    Doesn't matter how much SC you throw at something, you still need to XP grind some for other important requirements.

    You can make it 'look' like a destroyer but just like a riced out honda civic, if it is stock under the bonnet, it's still going to get owned.

    Lets see - Fragile ESF that can be scared away by any kind of Burster or lock on weapon VERSUS an armoured flying fortress that you can't hit from the ground due to the way bullet physics work - and their "bombs" aren't noticeable until you are dead because they don't make swooshing sound and have smoke trails.

    Yeah I can see how that "dope" is clouding up YOUR mind.

    ... Unless you actually know how to handle your front gun. It isn't for show.

    Yet other people seem to think the liberator owns the sky, even vs other aircraft with creative use of weapons available.

    I dont fly anything, the onyl reason for me ever to get in an aircraft, is to jump out of it and let it fly in to the entrance to a bio lab, using it as a giant explosive to FORCE My way in. Otherwise, I think flying is GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY and boring.

    you are forgetting the current render distance issue, myself and my bomber can't see burster maxes, but they can see us. I lost count how many times we had to turn back from a target simply because we were half dead before anything would even render

    Are we complaining about ESF or ground units here now???

    I'd wager to say this is your first time having to wait 5 minutes for your cooldown timer, because one good pilot got pissed you were weaking havoc on their base and flew up there and pwnd him a newb.

    Since when are AA maxes a threat to liberators?? You need like 4 of us to kill one in under 2 minutes. And you got it backwards, if you high enough up, I can't see you, and even if I can I can't tell if you are on my team or not, cant spot you, and can not hit you with AA missiles, or an AA max...

    I have since decided you are just trolling, and will not post here again.

    It's cool, this game probably just isn't for me anymore, been playing since the first PS and was also playing since the closed beta of PS2. A lot has changed, and some of it for the worse. excuse me for mentioning my opinions in the hopes of intelligent replies. Didn't realize so many "ace" pilots would come running to defend their poor ESF's
