PS2 is now shutting down my PC consistently

Over the past few days, when I log into PS2 my computer crashes. Full shutdown and restart.

    What I've tried:
    Validating the game assets
    Reinstalling my GPU driver
Making sure the GPU, CPU, and PSU usage are all low
Checking other games to make sure it doesn't happen with them.

    Solutions?

Disable auto restart and see what the BSOD says. Try uploading the dump here for more in depth analysis.

Did you check temperatures on the CPU and GPU when playing? Overheating will cause your pc to shut down as a safety measure.

Check the windows event viewer for a log of what exactly happened when your computer crashes. It may seem like it's PS2 causing the issue, but the logs will help you track down the true culprit.

    I would believe it's either
    Heat
    Electrical short (however unlikely)
Damaged component such as ram which is pretty common depending how old the machine is.

However, it's most probably heat causing your problems.
