And it can be produced at a fraction of the price (although that excludes costs for retraining infantry in its use). Furthermore, the Roman Pilum is designed so that once the barbed point of the weapon is lodged in an enemy aircraft it will remain stuck and thus burden the target by its weight. I'd buy it, can't be any worse than we have now. It'd at least look kewl when it turns into a dumbfire 20m from ya like the grounders rockets do.
