With an established tradition of Scrim Masters tournaments, this 3rd one will not only be bigger than previous two, but one of largest competitive events done in Planetside 2. The teams will fight each other for 2 weekends and the path to World Championship title will be tough and a grand spectacle to behold. What is the tournament format? Scrim masters: WC is a 12v12 scrim tournament Group stage - teams are split into 4 groups of 4 teams, with top 2 teams in each group advancing to knockout stage. Playoffs/knockout stage - top 8 teams from group teams compete for the title of World Champion and bragging rights that go with it. Hope trophy - extra competition for any team that placed 3rd or 4th in group stage. Will this event be streamed? YES ! we will have multiple streams up which will cover the event. The Streams will be done by professional streamers who are also explaining what is actually happening on the field. So which matches are the most likely to be streamed? And what are the top teams to look out for? Interested to see 12v12 format but I only recognise a couple of those outfits. Also how would someone new to this sort of thing go about trying it out
We will announce at the day of the tournament which Games will be streamed on which stream, but the majority of the Games will be covered by one of the streams. We also cover some games additional with a russian speaking stream. favorits are BHOT together with R4M, WIB/WOHA, MTAC but also the other outfits are on the same level, so I think the field is pretty much on one level, where most of the matches could be really intresting to watch. For the New players, who are not used to this part of planetside 2 we will have casters on the streams who explain what actually is happening on the match and i think new people can learn a lot about positioning and teamplay in this streams. If new players are interested to play like this, they can also make contact to different outfits in the chat box of our streams and get invited to play some scrims with them. hope i was answering your question
world championships? I don't see a single team from Connery or Emerald....I could be mistaken but this looks like Euro Championships not "World" Whats your take on ini settings etc. When SOE tried I recall using low settings/macros, etc? Should be fun to watch but this by anymeans is anything "championship wise" There are no bragging rights in planetside2, no one is making the news lol. The tournament was announced on all reddits at the same time, unfortunatly there where no american outfits, who were interested to take part, but since the tournament was announced on all servers and every continent is allowed to bring teams it's a world championship. maybe when the deciders of the us servers see how much fun the event is, they are signing up for the next event. But the teams that are signed up will also be able to provide some awesome gameplay

1st weekend went through smoothly, so GG to all teams who played. 2nd weekend will start this Friday ! : Friday 8th with some hope trophy and losers bracket (teams eliminated in quarter-finals) teams opening up at 18:00UTC/20:00CEST. Saturday 9th will decide the finalists in semi-finals being played at 17:00UTC/19:00CEST. Nice to see more community driven events. Server Smash is awesome but also takes A LOT of coordination. Whether it is planetside or not, meh, a part of FPS gaming is and have always been individual and team pride. Even if this game isn't MLG or anything those who want to hone their skills against the best have a place here as well.
