The 338th, Falling out of planes with finesse.
    The 338th is recruiting
    and we want
    YOU!

We're an air oriented, paratrooper and close in support outfit. Our outfit is a non competitive Tactical Military outfit. All of our actions require good organization, teamwork, and patience, the ability to follow directions and understand the importance of orders is a must have. If you like wandering off and doing your own thing, don't like following directions, or are otherwise impatient; this is NOT the group for you. The 338th is good old fashioned soldiering, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. Flying big planes and jumping out of them, hitting hard targets with a brigade of gunships, chasing off interceptors with coordinated squadrons of Reavers, and gritty commando work, is just a glimpse of what the 338th engages in.

We're looking for active players with a mind for tactics and the art of war. You must be willing to communicate, patiently follow directions, and work as a team at all times. As you move up in the ranks you'll be leading squads, organizing actions both on the front lines and from afar and coordinating not just with other Officers in the outfit but with other outfits as well. This group is about fun Tactical operations, watching each other's backs, and taking victory; not about pulling rank being a jerk and acting superior.

Requirements - in a more technical sense
-There is no age restriction, but you need to be an otherwise mature person.
-Not take the game too seriously, don't obsess over your KDR, this is a Tactical Simulation for fun, not a competitive Outfit.
-You must be able to work as a team, follow your leader and their orders and keep track of your squadmates and objectives. Watch each other's backs.
-You must be willing to participate in staging operations, that's standing around together in a big group listening to your superior's big plans. Setting up Sundys for resupply, as well as cutting down on your officer's headaches trying to keep track of you all before the big Op.
-You need to communicate and respond to requests, (What do you see? Are there enemies there? How was your day?) Either through text or Mic.

    Currently Looking for:
-Troops, in most cases you'll start out as a Paratrooper, this is the first rank in the 338th
-Pilots and Vehicle Crew (gunners in most cases, we'll use Sunderers as Forward command posts and resupply points as well.)
-Officers, You'll be the proud leaders and coordinators of our outfit
-Ground operations based Outfits to coordinate with. (The heavy hitters and tanks on the frontline.)

Applicants put your Character Name, times available, position applying for and any relevant information in a PM to me Aryeonos. We're looking to fill our ranks right now, in most every case you'll be accepted on so long as you show up for tryouts and participate.

Your application will be reviewed and you'll receive a PM detailing a tryout time.
We don't lay siege, we take victory.

Our outfit will start allot of their actions out the back of a Galaxy, however, unlike most cases of galaxy drops we like to keep our gunners on board, that means the 8 troops dropping will need to be specialized to compliment each other, in turn you need to be versatile in all of the classes. Our bread and butter are Paratroopers, and depending on the situation it could require you to play as any of the classes, more specialized still are Pathfinder operations, which will usually be carried out with little to no support from the rest of the Outfit after insertion. Pathfinders will be tasked with searching out targets and landing zones for their platoon and the outfit as a whole, as well as leading Paratroopers and helping infantry on the ground.

    Squad and Platoon Organization.
I don't have a fancy website with diagrams, I hope you can read.
To start off we'll be using slightly different terminology in place of some in game terms.
-Most importantly is that a Squad is called a Lance in our Outfit; and a Squad, is a 4 man group inside of a Lance. A Lance could be made of 3 Squads, but a vehicle crew isn't always called a Squad and may be part of that Lance. A Squad Leader will be called a Lance Leader, their role is identical.
-In some cases it may be necessary to identify the paratrooper or commando squads within a lance seperate from their vehicle crew, groups of squads are called a Unit.
-For larger operations vehicle crews will be in their own Lances with Paratroopers in the others, all within the same Platoon. Larger operations still may have Platoons dedicated to Galaxy crews and other support aircraft with the paratroopers in a separate platoon.

To recap the organization chart goes.
    *Platoon
    *Lance
    *Unit
    *Squad/Vehicle Crew
