    Well a solid implementation of melee weaponry, as in defensive boosts, higher agility and speed, it would create a different playstyle altogheter(perhaps viable further down the line of this game).
    Another idea would be to revamp the max punch across all 3 factions,
    Plasma-Cutter for VS, a chain-saw for TR and a mini shotgun for NC. These would only to be used in melee range and they could have some minor differences between them.

    I believe that the game could improve further by SOE getting a dev to code a proper DoT mechanic, that mechanic could make flamethrower even more attractive as a different playstyle, it could set all weapons across all factions apart in how they perform and feel, instead of balancing every weapon around the damage/rof/velocity.
    An example: Mercies could get it's damage lowered but adding a small bleed DoT on squishies, Blueshifts could get it's damage lowered significantly but adding a strong fire based DoT on squishies.

    The bottom line is that the DoT mechanic got so many uses in ps2 that it deserves a 100+ page thread filled with ideas.

    Your idea around the range restrictions is real solid, it could help the NC even more at mid range so that vacuum that the new nc weapon which me and dash discussed would be less of a problem.

    I dont think that shockwave would work, it is not practical enough. What i mean by that is if you run out of a teleporter room in a bio lab to do a push, someone could be up on a balcony and just tear you apart, same goes for towers. Not to mention that LA's would be to pleased.

    What about that wave weaponry for CQC VS max? decent DPS and it could have some sort of crowd control effect on the target such as the concussive effect? (with more range when dual wielded, like Naithe proposed)

    Got any other ideas regarding the VS max CQC weapon?

    Dont worry, eye-bleeding keeps trolls away. We're also 2 clicks away from general gameplay section so that is another defensive measure xD

    Lets bring back the surpressor from PS1, just in Max form . This will help with the range issues for ALL maxes for any empire WITHOUT overpowering them at range. This gun has some huge drawbacks, namely the damage , the small magazine size AND CANNOT damage max units at all . Infact this will do 0 damage to max units, aircraft(ESF) , flashes and harassers. Also headshots do NOT count as " extra damage" .

    Also it has a high TTK ( At all ranges) , but at least so long as your able to aim, this weapon rewards " aiming skill" over random instaglibbing or Spray N pray . Or praying that you've slaughtered enough animals for the COF gods to give you anything beyond 20m-30m worth hitting .
