Today my weapons make no sound. And I cannot tell if they are doing any damage. Enemy (not infils) appear directly in front of me, I get the respawn screen then hear the sound of their weapon. I get hack complaints when I storm into a room of frozen enemy and can kill before they move then am suddenly killed by the bouncing betting that I crossed at the door 8 seconds ago. I know that Daybreak wants to cut corners on maintaining this game but if they are actually trying to kill it this is a fantastic method. If you are taking servers off-line so you can put clock-cycles somewhere else - Knock it off!
