    Kind of makes the whole idea of an SL pointless.

    Anyways, as per your original post, I don't think you'll find any "democratically" run outfits. The only way you're going to find what you like in this case is to join them all until you find one you like.

    Not really, you still need someone to lead. Otherwise there wouldn't be an executive branch of government.

    If the majority thinks they're making the wrong calls, then the majority should leave and make their own platoon and run it how they want. It's not that hard to organize. If the majority don't follow you, then they really don't care that much.

    In addition, most platoons/squads are run by outfit officers. You're not going to vote platoon leaders out of their own outfit's platoon. In addition, most outfit platoons are coordinating with other outfit leaders via the leader chat that they have access to. We've had Vanu squads run "distraction ops" which inevitably end in failure, but allow the main force to conquer the real objective.
