Instead of the slow-burn raise or float of the current ones, how about press a button and burn all the fuel for a super quick lift off. This will allow for quick escapes etc.
That existed in beta, it was called Ikarus Jump Jets. They were taken out because they apparently desynced your hitbox. Personally, I'd love to see them back, maybe with a 100ms delay to send the data ahead of time.
