This has become incomprehensible,, non-transparent and confusing. Sometimes 1 territory gives 80% influence, sometimes 3 territories give only 20ish. WEIRD. Add the very long cap times and the meta game is pretty much killed, I just do not care about capping if I have to stand there for 5-10 mins. It's a mess.
