[Guide] Infiltrator: The basics

Another problem many infiltrators keep complaining about having is that their knifing doesn't always get rid of their enemies' shielding. You have to remember that the knife is effected by the angle of where you're stabbing them, such as someone standing in front of you vs. someone with their back toward you- as well as stabbing them in the head instead of the body or a limb. Same principle as bullet damage, just without being ranged.

Recon dart senses MOTION. Motionless enemies camping the other side of a wall will not show up on the minimap.

Motionless target do not appear within the dart's effect on your minimap- true, however motionless cloaked targets are still made visible. The problem with the dart is that with the *moving* targets some are made visible while others mysteriously don't. Different classes and characters as many infiltrators are noticing, so either we've discovered a bug with the recon dart's detection or there's some underlying similarity that we're missing as to why one person is picked up while another isn't.

It should also be noted that snipers are having trouble with their bullets deviating left or right at longer distance, the key to remember is the shift (hold breath) effect only lasts for 2 seconds, after that you need to wait an additional 5 before it resets fully (you can start at 3 seconds but the breath won't be a full one).

Another problem brought up is forcing someone out of a turret, infiltrators are having trouble getting shot the instant they attempt it and aren't sure what the problem is. The first thing to remember is you can hack at a further distance than where they're dismounted, if you go at the maximum range it puts them directly in front of you for the easy knife/stab combo. The alternative is the use of your claymore/proximity mine/bouncing betty, deploy it at the edge of where you'd stand then run to the side or even the front of the turret and begin your hack- whether they see you and manually dismount or you force them out the mine will take care of the rest.
