I know I'm going to get flamed, but all things considered, I think the game is pretty balanced at the moment. There are a few things that are still out of whack, but all-in I think we're at a good spot. I think instead of weapon / empire balance, the devs should focus on the elephant in the room WHICH IS... 4th factioners. Seriously, this has the potential to break or seriously limit the growth of the game. It's very frustrating being either overpopped or underpopped. This is inherent to the F2P model, as it's hard to limit accounts and faction hopping. I don't have the answer, but I hope this finally gets some attention.
