The jetpacks have always bothered me - flaccid replicas of Tribes jetpacks. I'd love a jump pack instead, not dissimilar from the ones Assault Marines use in 40k: I'd want to see performance not unlike the Super Jump power in City of Heroes: Give it a power meter, same as now, that depletes depending on the length of the jump (metered by holding the jump key; same as CoX). If sufficient power is available, tapping the spacebar within 20m of the ground bursts the jets to allow soft landings when falling longer distances.
God, I'd love those for a MAX to get the true feeling of a Assault Marine/Raptor. WH40k: Space Marine did it perfectly! I'd be all for an ability like that!
