Part of the reason I find the game a bit boring is because... it's so quiet. I want some background music to set a theme for the continent, to give it character (empire travel music rarely plays). Sounds of battle is nice and all, but it gets tiring after a while of hearing explosions and their echos Can you imagine something like this back for Esamir? especially at 1:50 (inb4 hurr durr FPS don't need music)
Big canyons have nice ambient wind sound when there is a lull in action - I would like to hear more of this.
I noticed that too, nearly always quite (minus gun fire), usually have my own music running in the background as a substitute.
I agree this would be awesome While they're at it why don't they just replace the NC music with this. Seriously the NC butt rock music is SO BAD... it makes me embarrassed to play this game around others. Vanu had good music... why must we be exposed to this crappy cheesy rock music.
