Hello, i have been suffering from the bugged gamma issue since several weeks now. No solution i found on the internet is working for me. Also several friends of mine do also have this bug, which really makes it impossible to use NV/HS vision on esamir or other continents when the sun is rising high. The only thing i can do so far is play in window mode, which really makes the low performance of this game even worse. Does anyone of you got a solution to fix the gamma problem? These are some threads/solutions i used so far: https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/full-screen-brightness-bug.123213/ http://steamcommunity.com/app/218230/discussions/0/828936719079343006/ https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/solution-to-brightness-problem.73003/ Greetings
Im not an expert in this but did you tried changing the gamma(colors) of your monitor ? Maybe the gamma of your monitor is to high.
Thanks for your answer! If i change the Gamma settings of the monitor, the game will be "darker" but the textures ingame have still have a to high gamma value -> i will still have a "darker" whiteout -> cannot seperate players from ground textures.
If you have a Nvidia card maybe you could try to change around the following settings, The brightness can be set in, - Windows desktop - Graphics driver - Ingame - Monitor
Hey S7rudL, i know that i can turn down the Gamma at the monitor + graphic driver and i already did that. The gamma setting ingame is already at its lowest. Result is: Overall gamma is good but the "gamma values" of the textures are still to high. Let me show it to you with screenshots: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197961354747/screenshots/ 1. screenshot: "low gamma value in graphic card" 2. screenshot normal gamma value The overall gamma value is much better... but the textures are still completly "white out"
Can you post the full content of the UserOptions.ini file? I would like to try out if I get the same image with the same settings, this probably more likely appears to be the games problem on different system setups.
[Display] FullscreenRefresh=0 Maximized=0 FullscreenWidth=1280 FullscreenHeight=1024 WindowedWidth=1024 WindowedHeight=768 RenderQuality=1.000000 Mode=Fullscreen FullscreenMode=Fullscreen [Rendering] GraphicsQuality=3 TextureQuality=2 ShadowQuality=0 RenderDistance=2015.000000 Gamma=0.000000 MaximumFPS=250 UseLod0a=0 VSync=0 OverallQuality=-1 LightingQuality=1 FogShadowsEnable=0 EffectsQuality=1 TerrainQuality=1 FloraQuality=1 ModelQuality=1 ParticleLOD=0 MotionBlur=0
Put TextureQuality to 0,you will not see any difference in performance and maybe this will solve the problem.
Well, that's normal. Esamir's white fogginess + bloom and what not, it is what it is. http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/2035/ed4o.jpg http://archive.icommons.org/_overblog/img/1182813539_bling_web.jpg If you watch the latest twitch PS2 video you will notice that some people mention the Indar's yellow fogginess atmosphere, she does not. It all comes down to individuals preference. That is why a wide supported variety of settings is a must have to offer to the player. Code: http://www.twitch.tv/planetside2/b/477646904 (6:00) I use low settings with Ultra/High textures. http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/1867/pjhh.jpg
A bit of a necropost, but i think i have the same problem. When i start the game, things look normal. But over time, textures will turn whiter and whiter until its unplayable.
