I just installed Planetside 2 and noticed a couple programs came with it... it came with the gamelauncher-ps2-live program and the applicationupdater. Both are published by Sony Online Entertainment so I know they came with the game. Do I need these two programs in order to play the game? I just don't like having random programs on my computer.
I realize this is an older thread but I have the same exact question. Are both of these required? In addition, does PS2 use the SOE Web Installer? I am looking at removing that as well.
