I recently reinstalled windows 7 and re downloaded ps2 and now I am getting bad framerate. I would always get around 70-120 and now it still says im getting around that much but in game it is obviously lower.
This is my exactly problem. I run 50-150 fps CPU bound but i am getting a steady 50-60 fps GPU bound and it is stuttering like crazy. (it isnt a real 50-60fps). If i look up at the sky the fps goes back to normal, but as soon as i bring my camera back down it is back.
Thanks for seeing this, it seems mine is GPU limited too. Im currently running a gtx 760 and was using the lastest nvidia drivers
I found this fix to work for me: From reddit forums: from /u/memoriesofbetrayal: Go into your Nvidia CP and find the PlanetSide 2 profile. Try changing the power settings to "Prefer Maximum Performance". It sounds like, for whatever reason, the GPU is clocking lower as if it were going into a power saving mode. (This is why it's recommended to not play on low settings if you have a good system) I also reinstalled prior to doing this. also a potential fix : If for whatever reason /u/memoriesofbetrayal 's fix does not work, try rolling back to nvidia driver 340.52 I first noticed the issue about a month ago after updating my driver. reverting fixed it
