Anyone else have major issues with the forums keeping you logged in? I get here and read posts and I am not logged in, so I do so. I open a post and go down to the reply box, it isnt there. So I log in again. It's there so I type my response and it says I am NOT logged in, so I do it again! Then it takes my reply. I read the next post and I am NOT logged in again!!! This goes on for as long as I am on the forums. In order to post this - I had to log in TWICE!
Cookies. Used to simulate a persistent session using a stateless (http) protocol. Either you're dropping them somehow, or the server is. If it was the server, we'd likely see a lot more people complaining. Does it happen on other forums? Try http://www.talkbass.com as a test - it's a much larger and busier forum than PS2 (and much faster, I might add).
I wish this forum had a "stay logged on" feature. I don't like having to log in everytime I close my browser.
Nope only happens here on these forums. Usually I would chalk it up to being security on my work pc but since it's only these forums and nowhere else I have to assume it is not a setting on my end. Edit: LOL in order to post this reply I had to log in twice.
Yep me too, I wish they had a "remember me" box you could check to stay logged on. I thought theyre standard now a days.
I stay logged in on hours on time. My browser back home is still logged in on these forums when return from work, while I haven't touched it since the previous night. I'm using firefox btw, not sure if it matters. Basically the site never logs me off, unless I close the tab.
