Does SOE still ban abusers?

I basically started playing again this week. The only thing that would indicate cheating was a guy that was "sharking", but he was also blinking all over the place. No idea if it was intentional or unwanted desync. In these cases it's better to report and let the proper people investigate than allow a potential cheater run rampant.

He's the only go between we have to the developers; it should go both ways. If he only wants to parrot what he's been told rather than pass information regarding the state of them back to the developers from the actual users then he should be prepared to be labeled a mouthpiece, because that's what it makes him. Not meant to be insulting, it just is what it is--that's the nature of a PR position. The truth is never condescending.

And you should look up paranoia--you should look up the definitions of words before you use them.

We have very specific data regarding who is cheating and bans surrounding it. Besides our automated methods you guys send in reports which are investigated. Most investigations of reports do not show cheating but latency or in some cases an extremely skilled player.

We are obviously not going to state there is absolutely no cheating in the game at any time ever, but it's extremely rare and statistically very few of you have probably seen it.
