depot's ideas for planetside

    preface: if youre gonna try to bash me for grammar idgaf. read it and give me feedback, thats what im here for

    GENERAL CHANGES

    Wishlists for cert items a seperate one for dbc items. all items ever sold should be on here so players can be alerted to when they come back, this could be tracked by devs for ideas to bring limited bundles and such back

    Ability to Lock camos on items on specific loadouts. If you want say your white camo on your med tool to always be there, a simple locking function could be implimented a simple lock icon next to the camo button that could cover the camo would work. Also being able to choose specific camos for each continent would be nice if one desired

    A specialized ant for modifying vehicles out in the field. This ant would need to deploy and would use cortium to modify the vehicles allowing more versatility on the field. Fun upgrades could be a gunner seat that can heal 1 vehicle at a time, another could be ammo resupply i know its already a thing but it could still be interesting

    S class weapons getting 2 rail options like the punisher. Like a mini directive weapon. Letting them be more versatile and usable

    Bring back the gear from recruiting players and have it unlockable through either merit or the mentor system

    If youd put the black ops armor bundle as a ns thing so all factions could get it once purchased im sure itd be bought more. It feels scummy that the armor set is the exact same across all factions but you have to buy it individually

    Bring in assist counts as kill mechanics to increase directive progress speed. Even if this mechanic is only worth .5 of the usual it would still add better progress towards directive overall

    Have duplicate weapons work with all directives available so that you can pick your favorite variant and still progress through directives you want. And unlocking a new variant of that weapon would bypass that grind.

    Have duplicate weapon attachments work through all their variants and refund certs of duplicate attachments
    Make implants and iso account based instead of character based

    ASP CHANGES
    Sunderer unlocking lightning cannons losing half their transport capacity and both top turrets

    engineers getting sniper rifles

    engineers unlocking heavy weapons to be equipped into their turret slot

    heavy assaults getting carbines

    infiltrators getting carbines

    infiltrators getting smg secondaries or a universal smg secondary

    Light assaults getting assault rifles

    reduction of 25 nanites for grenades for one class

    Maybe changing the asp gain every 20 levels instead of 25

    ALERT IDEAS

    Bring mini alerts back the free air alert allowed people to learn how to fly without using all your nanites and an armor alert like this could allow green tankers to get experience in the same way

    Max alerts were fun but lasted way too long, 10 to 20 minutes would be plenty of time to allow people to have fun without it dragging out too long. With the nc max now being on par with other factions it would be reasonable it bring it back

    Class changes

    Have engineers distribute ammo to other players in vehicles, its never made sense if a medic can heal people in a vehicle why cant a engy give ammo? It could be based off the ranks of thier ammo box as well

    have the archer be able to be equipped in the engineers turret slot

    Make dumbfired launchers and all tank cannons 1shot esfs and flashes without composite armor. its a skillshot so reward it

    Maxes upon completing the silver tier directive will unlock shoulder mounted darklights and a horn. Making them more vehicle like

    have maxes while equipped prevent nanite generation while equipped to prevent spamming

    Remove suppressors from heavies or at the very least lmgs theyre heavy assaults and shouldnt be anything else

    i would like to see class based tactical deployables so engineer double spitty turrest come back

    CONCLUSION
    Planetside is a game you play not a game you beat. Making reasonable adjustments to the game on this thought makes the spending a large amount of time more enjoyable

    Add bikini armor. Would fit with Oshur's beaches. All the cool devs add bikini armor.
