Construction "Changes" are a slap in the face

There is one, and pretty much only one very simple and easy to understand concept about Player-Built Bases that isn't being realized: You need actual "other peoples" to man them. And to Defend them. But that isn't happening because the incentives to do so...are terrible.

And this Dev team still hasn't addressed any of those incentives. Be they Stats-based, rewards-based, or most importantly: Social Incenctives.

A Base builder's experience is 100% predictable these days:
    1. Slowly gather cortium while trying not to get farmed by enemy Harassers and Liberators deep in your own territory. (thanks for removing our only way of hiding from these Griefers, aka Ant CLOAK. ...Really swell and understanding of those Devs!)
    2. Try and fail to pick a location that's relevant to ANY of the nearby Lattice bases because there's these massive No-Build-Zones covering up almost every single "Strategically Defensible" geological formation.
    3. Plonk down and Fill silo then rinse and repeat step 1 atleast five more times.
    4. Painstakingly start trying to connect walls together tightly enough that a literal Tank can't fit through the gaps
    5. ...fight the Terrain the entire time while doing so, and the giant oversized "placement" collision-Hulls which prevent really basic structures from fitting together and other key Logistics from fitting inside those walls:
    1. finish and then Sit around for 20 more minutes waiting for something to happen... watch nothing but cortium-bomb Trolls show up
    2. wait another 20 minutes and suddenly an entire Armor squad shows up instead.
    3. Every Tank is just peekaboo-shooting from behind a tree or a slight hill and your AV turrets aren't hitting any of them nomatter how many other players also put AV turrets and AI mods around your base.
    4. Watch every "Defensive" Turret get evaporated in seconds
    5. Allies may or May not... (9 times out of 10, no one shows up) ...spawn in at that point, and then not know what to even do because there's NO TURRETS to man, and the Terminals didn't actually fit inside the base so they can't find them despite being easy to see on the minimap.
    6. Some of them wander outside and immediately get HESH'd and then redeploy away (from You)
    7. Others die to some infil Troll's cortium bomb or prox mines that shouldn't even have been allowed to be put down right next to Pain towers.
    8. final step: feel helpless and demotivated as your junk-pile is just converted into a meager amount of free Certs for that squad of completely bored drivers and their 2 or 3 equally bored gunners.
When Oshur fails just as brutally as Koltyr has... and it will... It will not be because "it's not Pretty enough", or the water physics are too Janky. It will fail because the effort simply wasn't made to address these problems and this lack of incentives to get players to actually work together to strategically Hold lattice lines with "Player Built" bases in advance of a real offensive "Push"

The only problem is that often the allies do not try to recapture the hex with the help of the player's base. And I don't think it's realistic to get a huge amount of people to show up at your base when a huge enemy zerg is heading towards your base.

You forgot the key change: They scrambled the console so that all your muscle memory is now wrong.

I think that could safely be categorized under: "A lot more than I was personally expecting". All I pointed to was there not even being enough incentives or advantages to make half a squad of people want to help out for even a minute or two. o_O

Yeah, they have absolutely no real intention to ever fix or improve the Construction game at all.
Most everything they do to "improve" construction is almost always a token PR image management thing, so make the false claim of "yeah we made an improvement," when in reality it is surrounded by nerfs and neglect that keep getting worse and worse.
After how they handled construction when they added the Bastions and then the Colossus. What they did too construction at the separate patchs they added those things, I knew back then, construction is nothing more then an abandoned after thought they begrudgingly do something with but would delete from they game if they could.

But ion all likelyhood this message will be censor deleted by a moderator, cause of PR management rather then actually get posted.
