I have been getting a G30 error on log out all this week or since the last hotfix. I am not sure if this is also related, but ill post it hear as well, since getting full ammo on my reavers air to air missiles, I have been gettting the following bug: I get a lock, missile is fired, hits the target I get a target hit display, no damage to the target, as well as an almost instant lock again when this occures the missile has not been charged from my ammo on the reaver. Like I said I am not sure that this is related to the G30 on log out but I thought I would post it here while getting incontact with support for the G30 code error.
A G30 error indicates an issue with communicating to the login server. This doesn't seem like a big deal if it's happening when the game is being closed but still shouldn't be happening. If you're running any anti-virus or firewall software you might need to exclude the following files: PlanetSide 2 Standard C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.exe C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2\PlanetSide2.exe C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.libs\AwesomiumProcess.exe C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.libs\wws_crashreport_uploader.exe C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Sony Online Entertainment\ApplicationUpdater\ApplicationUpdaterService.exe (not always installed) PlanetSide 2 Steam C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PlanetSide 2\PlanetSide2.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.libs\AwesomiumProcess.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.libs\wws_crashreport_uploader.exe C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Sony Online Entertainment\ApplicationUpdater\ApplicationUpdaterService.exe (not always installed) Regarding the problem you're having with lock on missiles - You may need to back up and delete some settings files: Run your Planetside 2 Launchpad and log in, but do not press play. Click on the Advanced Tools icon (looks like a hexagon surrounding a wrench) in the lower left and then choose the option to open game directory. In the window/folder that comes up, locate and delete the following files PlanetSide2.exe ActivityUserData.ini LaunchPad-user.ini LoadingScreen.xml InputProfiles.xml (back this up if you want to be able to restore control settings) SoundSettings.xml UserOptions.ini (back this up if you want to be able to restore game settings) vivoxoal.dll vivoxsdk.dll Once these files are deleted, close the Planetside 2 window/folder and go back to the Launchpad > Advanced Tools/Settings menu. Click on the Validate Game Assets menu option and then press the green Validate button to have the Launchpad check your game files, and download any missing or corrupt files. If you guys need to know what the error codes mean, we have a list of PlanetSide 2 Error Codes to help you diagnose problems you encounter. We may still have to investigate this further, though. If you have an open ticket and those steps haven't worked you can PM me the ticket number and I'll take a look.
