    It's a feature - new META. Try to get as much done as possible before randomly being disconnected. Idea is to promote frantic team-plate and force people to use Instant-Action more (as that's the only way to get to any action quickly).

    It wouldn't be a double XP weekend without releasing a game breaking patch just before ;)
