I recently bough a laptop and was wondering if it could run planetside 2 above 30fps.
    Here are the specs:
    i5 5200u 2.2ghz
    Geforce Nvidia Gt920m 2gb
    1tb hdd
    8gb ram

kinda weak on the RAM department, but looks like u could run on Medium/low

I am running on i5-2410M 2.3GHz / GT540M / 8GB on total potatomode and getting 20-40 fps in bigger fights.

Dafuq? Why should the RAM be a problem??

BTT: Yes, it should be able to run it at low-medium (maybe some on high if youre lucky)

8 gb RAM definitely wouldn't be an issue if he runs the game on low/med and doesn't leave tons of crap running in background.
  6. Pfundi

He could be talking about the VRAM? But Im not certain about that.

2 gb vram is enough even for full ultra.

Yes, this laptop is very fit for this game, but aside from that, does the CPU have turbo boost?
  9. Pfundi

    2.7 GHz turbo

You have weak GPU so u will struggle on big fights and low settings. and CPU is enough to run on medium/high

    Probably fine.

    Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 4,2 GHz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM, Radeon R7 250X (1 GB)
Around 30-35 FPS (CPU limited, around 85% utilization) in a 24-48/24-48 fight with following settings:

So your latop will run it

Yes it will probably run but you most likely wont be very impressed with the way in which it does.

That CPU is weak and will chug in fights. I wouldn't recommend overclocking either as it will probably end up overheating and possibly cause damage in a worst case scenario.

I would look into either a dedicated gaming laptop with a good built in fan system or a tower.
