Sometimes while maniacally mashing Q I've noticed that drop pods happen to have health bars and be entities that can be spotted. Yesterday I've shot a rocket and somehow "killed" it, even though there was no explosion or wreck indicating that happened. Just asking if this happened to other players and was drop pod spotting and killing a planned feature at some point?
Drop pods are vehicles and can be dispatched like vehicles while in the air. ESFs have an easier time at it.
Yes, you can kill drop pods as well as infantry dropping from galaxies. Drop pods are the better way to descend as they have their own health pool and do not "flying skip!" if you land on an odd surface.
