This is a minor suggestion under. Quality of life. By showing the boundaries of the object being placed in the world. This can help with setting up location. As trees and ground plants can get in the way of placement.
insted of overtaxing the game by that how about making the silo zone snap to it and deform to the boundery setforth.
1: how would my idea overtax the game? If you pull out a building blueprint you already get to see a wire-frame mesh. What problem would it be to add a line showing where the no-construction area begins? 2: I have no idea how or why the silo would snap to “the” boundry and deform it “setforth”?
think of it as if i"m a lazy dev. that doesn't have the manpower or a lot of resources that i can shift off of projects .by just changeing the silo deploy ring. that is only active when you have a silo object in hand. i dont have to render the non deployzones as a skybox.
