New since the last patch: Often when mining or delivering cortium the ant will animate the orange beams and heat the howler, but not actually mine or deliver any cortium. So far exiting and re-entering the vehicle seems to fix it. I'll update as I learn more.
Switching seats also will work. However, you have to do this every time you mine or deposit! Additionally, the mineral radar doesn't function unless you use one of the mentioned workarounds.
Additionally, the howlers continue to heat while I am dismounted and waiting out the 2 seconds before I can re-enter my vehicle. Thus, I re-enter a vehicle with more heat on the howlers than when I exited.
