The MBT's need to be balanced at their core which is the frame, the special and the main gun. When those things are balanced then all of the ES Secondary weapons can be balanced.

Prowlers do not have inferior secondaries, They are almost identical with the exception of the Vulcan (all of the ES AI secondaries pscore the same, except PPA but VS use the Kobalt instead and that scores just as well as the canister and Maurader). TR just do not run 2/2 crews nearly as much, which skews the numbers and gives the illusion that Mags and Vans are balanced when we factor in the secondary guns. However, if they started running more 2/2 crews, then we would see the numbers parallel the numbers we see when we just compare the Primary MBT's with each other.

I admit the TR need to sacrifice range if they go with the Vulcan and the NC and VS do not when they run Saron or Enforcer. However, the Halberd is still a very strong AV secondary, I'll often chose it over the Enforcer, So it's not like the TR are sacrificing anything when choosing it.

The fact is somewhere around on average 50% of all MBT are run 1/2. Therefore 50% of the time Solo MBT TR are at an advantage vs the other two solo MBT's while the other 50% of the time when all three MBT's have secondary gunners they are performing about the same. That is not balance. Balance would be all MBT perform about the same solo and they perform about the same with secondary gunners.”

50% of Magriders are dummy's if they run solo. A lightning is flat out superior to a 1/2 Maggie.

Vanguard I'd still roll Lightning over 1/2 generally, but sometimes if I want an AA secondary to swap to I'll take the bigger and slower Vanguard...

Prowler is the only MBT actually worth using 1/2.

In any case, it's not a big deal. Is prowler 1/2 better than the others? Sure. Doesn't stop me from taking out 1/2 prowlers in my AP lightning at all though.

Get me a good gunner for my Maggie and we will FACE ROLL 1/2, 2/2 hell an ARMY of prowlers.
